          Chris Jagger thought it was about time that Jerry Hall a Daughter of the Republic of Texas and honorary consul of the state of Texas living in London got to be broadcast in Texas and the US. Because Jerry has been living in London for a long time, Chris didn\u2019t want the folks back in America to have totally forgotten about her. Chris thought it would be a great idea for Jerry Hall to introduce some of her favorite recordings and some of the stories connected there and the times she had back in Texas when she was growing up.             Willie and sister Bobbie Nelson were deeply involved in gospel music as kids growing up in Abbott Texas. After High School, Willie joined the US Air Force and then moved on to be a DJ at a local Ft. Worth radio station. Never loosing their gospel roots, Willie attended Baylor University in Waco. While in college, Willie sold Bibles door to door, and taught Sunday School. Word has it his church told him he can\u2019t do both, play honky tonks and churches\u2026and the rest is history.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

But today on your Blueseum of Fine Art, we showcase the Texas greats in The Blues Foundation\u2018s Hall of Fame. Including; T-Bone Walker, Lightnin\u2019 Hopkins, Blind Lemmon Jefferson, Freddie King and Big Mama Thornton. As well as Albert Collins, Johnny Winter, Gatemouth Brown, Stevie Ray Vaughan and Sippie Wallace. He has produced more than fifty CDs, including a series of interviews with music’s biggest names. On his new radio program For the Record, Jody Denberg spends quality time with Paul McCartney as he explains where he does his writing. He will step inside a Big Apple recording studio with Patti Smith. R.E.M. will reveal the magic behind their greatest songs. No Cowboy boots will be needed to get on the bus with Willie Nelson.
